There are three major television providers in Northern Utah. Comcast Cable - and the Satellite TV providers Dish Network, and Direct TV.

Advantages and Disadvantages of Satellite TV vs. Cable Television

Satellite TV is available to any house, anywhere in the country, but it may not be available in all apartments and rental properties. Satellite is all Digital and offers very nice features. It is usually much less expensive than Digital Cable and offers the best DVR service and High Definition Programming. Comcast also offers Digital Cable, but it is substantially more expensive after the promotional period ends. The advantage of Comcast is its availability for short term use, no contracts are required, and it is every bit as cheap as Satellite during the promotional periods.
