Springville is located in central Utah 56 minutes south of Salt Lake City and 10 minutes southeast of Provo. Springville was settled by eight Mormon pioneer families in 1850. The town was originally known as Hobble Creek but was renamed Springville after the many freshwater springs in the area. Springville has experienced steady growth over the past decade and is a flourishing community.

Culture and Recreation

Every June, Springville celebrates Art City Days. This celebration is popular among locals and residents can participate in sporting activities, the rodeo, talent festival, carnival, art contests, and fun entertainment. Springville also holds the Springville World Folkfest in the summer. This is a weeklong celebration of folk dance and music and dance groups travel from around the world to participate. In addition to these fun events, Springville hosts a variety of youth sports, movies in the park, and concerts in the park.
