Millcreek Utah isn't actually a city, but a designated Census area in Salt Lake County. There are about 13,000 households in Millcreek, and very little new construction. There are of course always houses for sale in the Millcreek area.

The township of Millcreek is located in Salt Lake County just 10 minutes south of Salt Lake City and 5 minutes northeast of Murray. Millcreek was originally settled in 1848 by the widowed Mary Fielding Smith and her children. Because Millcreek is not incorporated, it shares the same mailing name and zip codes as Salt Lake City. However, Millcreek is now recognized as an acceptable place name by the postal service and is a census-designated place, both of which point toward eventual incorporation.
As of the 2010 census, the population of Millcreek was 62,139 and it had a racial make-up of 83.0% White, 8.4% Hispanic, 3.5% Asian, 1.6% Black, and 3.5% other races. There are approximately 24,500 households and 14,600 families residing in the township. The estimated median household income is $46,418, almost $4,000 below the Utah average. Housing in the area has an estimated median value of $229,932 with a mean price of $228,923. As of 2012, the cost of living index for Millcreek was 93.0 compared to the U.S. average of 100.

Since Millcreek is so close to Salt Lake City and Murray and is mostly residential, a large percentage of the working population commutes into one of these two nearby cities to work. The township is part of Granite School District and students attend schools in Salt Lake City and Murray. The closest hospitals include St. Marks Hospital in Salt Lake City, The Orthopedic Specialty Hospital in Murray, and Intermountain Medical Center also located in Murray.

Millcreek is a great place for those who want to live in a residential area but be close to the big city attractions that Salt Lake City has to offer such as restaurants, shopping, movie theaters, and performances. Mill Creek Canyon is also close to the township and offers residents great hiking and biking trails in the summer and cross-country skiing and snow shoeing in the winter.

Millcreek Condos for Sale - Some of the bigger condominium complexes in the Millcreek area include luxury townhouses. Condos often offer better locations and ammenities.
