About Highland Utah

Highland is located past the point of the mountain, 35 minutes south of Salt Lake City and 25 minutes north of Provo. The city was settled in 1870 by Scottish Mormon homesteaders and was named Highland because of its resemblance to the highlands of Scotland. As of the 2010 census, the population of Highland was 15,523 with a racial make-up of 93.8% White, 2.8% Hispanic, and 3.4% other races.
